This week’s writing prompt: Favorite
Here’s the thing: I don’t have favorites.
I mean, I love things. Love them a lot. So much that I’ll rave and drool over them. But it’s incredibly difficult for me to pick a favorite.
Because my favorites change. I used to dislike the color peach, but I find it sneaking into my wardrobe this year. First a hat, then my swimsuit, then a sweater… I love peach right now. But I probably won’t in a few years.
So, I don’t have lifelong favorites.
But I do have things I love.
I love sitting with my family watching the Twins game for the 3rd night this week. Because, well, The Twins! (Ok, there’s a favorite. Always and forever.) And family! (Don’t ask me to pick a favorite person, you’ll find me stuttering and stammering my way in and out of that one.)
I love chocolate chip cookies, berries with whipped cream, and chicken pot pies.
I love musicals, sitcoms, and dramas.
I love stories, essays, and haikus.
So, yes, I love many things. But don’t ask me my favorite. You won’t get an answer. 😉
I love that graphic! That is one of my favourite things — a big mug of coffee and some quiet to enjoy with it! I have a lot of things I love too, but I definitely have some favourites 🙂 Stopping by from FMF! Hope you have a happy weekend!
Thanks for stopping by Therese! It was a wonderful weekend. Now back to Monday… I hope your Monday is going easy on you!
Leah, too funny. I love musicals too. Rent is my fave. I love water on a hot day. Visiting from FMF where I’m #16 this week.
Musicals really are the best. I think I’ll listen to one right now. Thanks for stopping by!
Hello!! I’m your next-door neighbor over there at FMF. Just coming by to say hello. I had to chuckle at your mug of coffee photo with a scoop of quiet. Make that a heaping scoop…
OH YEAH!!
Thanks for stopping by, Bevy! I had to escape the house today to find that quiet. I hope you can find yours!
