This week’s writing prompt: Favorite

Here’s the thing: I don’t have favorites.

I mean, I love things. Love them a lot. So much that I’ll rave and drool over them. But it’s incredibly difficult for me to pick a favorite.

Because my favorites change. I used to dislike the color peach, but I find it sneaking into my wardrobe this year. First a hat, then my swimsuit, then a sweater… I love peach right now. But I probably won’t in a few years.

So, I don’t have lifelong favorites.

But I do have things I love.

Favorite

I love sitting with my family watching the Twins game for the 3rd night this week. Because, well, The Twins! (Ok, there’s a favorite. Always and forever.) And family! (Don’t ask me to pick a favorite person, you’ll find me stuttering and stammering my way in and out of that one.)

I love chocolate chip cookies, berries with whipped cream, and chicken pot pies.

I love musicals, sitcoms, and dramas.

I love stories, essays, and haikus.

I LOVE the water…

So, yes, I love many things. But don’t ask me my favorite. You won’t get an answer. 😉
