My Dear Friends,
I have been absent from this website far more than I expected this season and the reason is simple: I need to be.
I want to write and produce and perform; I need to abide in love.
I want to be superwoman, solve all the problems, and fix all the hurts; I need to find healing from my own wounds.
The world is fallen, but Christmas brings the audacious invitation to hope. To see God’s activity. To experience and not just believe in His faithfulness.
This year the anticipation of Christmas has given the good news that God is with me.
He is with you, too.
Whatever our hurts, fears, losses, or pain, God is with us.
Let us rest in Him this holiday season. Let us cease striving for perfection and polish and accept ourselves as dearly loved.
I look forward to seeing you again soon.
May you experience God’s nearness as we celebration Christ’s birth.
Bless you,
Leah
The Lord is come!
Glad I was not the only one who had trouble “keeping up on the writing career” this holiday season! But glad that you had your priorities right. Wants vs. needs… you said it perfectly. Blessings to you and all the best in the new year.
Thanks for your words of encouragement. I feel so behind right now, but I’m realizing this is more of a lie than reality. Happy New Year, Robert!
