And trust me, I mean it. I don’t use that word lightly.
What is this said gift from God? Tot Time at the Y. Jack had his first afternoon there today and it made my day so much better than usual. First of all, he couldn’t wait to leave home…
And when I picked him up, he was so happy, so content because he had someone to play with him all day. And I was so happy because I was able to work and clean without having to care for him at the same time. Plus, the time that I was with him, we had fun together. Like, going to the park and playing on the slide (sorry, it was a video text, kinda fuzzy, but you get the point. Fun.)

This is beyond the childcare I have already received from my good friend Jenny who watches him another day a week and Tim who has him on Tuesdays. I’m starting to feel like a normal person again. I’m so happy tonight…
This summer I left Lydia in daycare two days a week, even though as a teacher, I have the summer off. It was an awesome time of rest, renewal, and rejuvenation. I’m glad you’ve found that, too!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who needs a break from my kids!
Sounds like a FANTASTIC arrangement! Try as I might, I really can’t get three things done when I’m alone with Drew. The funny thing is, the trouble comes from him trying to “help” load the dishwasher, etc. No thanks, kiddo!
Jack is obsessed with the dishwasher!! So much so that I’ve given him time outs so he doesn’t go into it. Thanks for cheering me on!
